FRUIT SALES INFORMATION

How are you supporting our FFA members?

Fruit sales is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The money made from this fundraiser helps to support the programs and activities of the chapter as well as other annual expenses. The money helps to pay for things such as FFA jackets, refreshments at meetings, decorations, food and awards at the FFA Banquet, Career Development Contests, camps and conferences, attendance to the State FFA Convention and National FFA Convention, 212-360 Conference, FFA week activities, senior scholarships, community service projects and other annual expenses.

What are the sale dates?

October 8-November 9 (sales end at 3:00 PM)

Why are sales online this year?

To do our part this year to limit contact with others, we have moved sales online this year to prevent the spread of disease. We will be back to regular sales by our members next year.

How product prices this year compare to years previous?

Prices for most products (mainly fruit and citrus) have gone up slightly due to wholesale cost being increased by the companies we order the product from. Prices do tend to rise slightly every year with fruit and citrus. We do not react to wholesale cost increases every year however this year did have to raise our sale prices slightly to still ensure a good profit for our FFA members. This is our biggest fundraiser every year so it is important we have a good sale.

When will my order be available?

You will be sent an email with dates and times for pick-up once they are established. Orders will be ready in early December however we can not determine exact dates and times until the fruit company communicates delivery or products to us. We are usually given a 1-2 week notice of delivery by the fruit company. Once we know, we will notify you promptly.

How do I get my order?

Orders must be picked up at the high school. Instructions for picking up your order including dates and times will be emailed to you. If you are part of the elderly community and would like your order delivered, please contact Mr. Baumer to discuss this possibility. See the top of this website for Mr. Baumer's email and phone number. We will use extra care of your products at pick-up and will ensure hands have been sanitized and gloves will be worn. Masks will also be worn by everyone involved in the process.

How should I store my product?

Do not store fruit and citrus in a heated room or near vents.

All fruit and citrus are best kept refrigerated.

If refrigerated space is a problem, store fruit and citrus in any cool, dry place such as an unheated room or basement.

Do not store fruit and citrus in a place where it will freeze.

Beef sticks and summer sausage MUST be refrigerated.

How do I pay for my order?

At the current time, we are only able to accept manual payment (cash or check). We are still working diligently to try to get the credit card option up and running but unfortunately at this time, we can not provide this as an option. Instructions for getting your cash or check to us will be provided at checkout.
